I’ll Give It My All… Tomorrow
This is the story of a forty–year–old salary man who quits his job to pursue his dream of becoming a manga artist—and the family that has to put up with him. While not terribly unhappy, Shizuo Oguro can't fight the feeling that something in his life just isn't right, so he walks away from his stable (yet boring) day job to embark on a journey of self–discovery. Unfortunately for his family, this journey also involves playing video games all day while his teenage daughter and elderly father support him. Will Shizuo succeed in creating a true manga masterpiece or will he be just another drop–out living a life of slack?

Must admit that the drawing can sometimes be scruffy, but i love how its so original compared to a typical manga. I've been reading manga for 2 years and i have never come across anything like this, the story is original and the art is unique.
wow..tomorrow

Super good story line, simplistic lineart make it more interesting. it made me wanna cry. Well done comic. Cheer.
meanigfully real

i love that this makes you consider the philosophy and expectations of life in a REAL setting. Brilliant. Hope to see more soon.
Ill review it...Tommarow

The artistry is interesting, but where this wins is the writing. Its clever its to the point and its powerful in a subtle way. Id buy this in an instant.
Meh..

Actually this title, I thought was a mid-life wreck. Yes it is a slice of life, but what a failure the protagonist is.. I feel pretty bad for his daughter. Not really interested in this manga about a mid-life otaku... but will read it..
Heartfelt...

This manga is one that really tugs on my heartstrings... I'm an aspiring artist myself, but there are days when I think that all I'm doing is just messing around and not doing anything constructive.
I think this might be one of my favorite manga, because at least I'll know that I'm not the only on that thinks like this.
awesome

Cool!

These three chapters were pretty good!!!! I love it! It's nice to see different art in manga. And it's very funny. One of the best mangas I've ever read!
Very inspiring
DMB
The main character is just like me, but I'm a couple years younger. His struggle with reality is really inspiring. Great manga.
Great !
Billy Kidman
It was good has a great little story to it look forward reading more .
Poignant & Full of Heart

I look forward to reading this whenever a new chapter is released. Shunju Aono manages to capture the bitterness of Yoshihiro Tatsumi, the irony of Daniel Clowes, and meaningful bits and pieces of life that Adrian Tomine brings to the page, in this wonderful tale of disappointment, hope and life's possibilities. 'I'll Give It My All...Tomorrow' is very awesome read!
Im In Love

I already love everything about this series, the characters you can empathize with, the simplistic art, and the slice of life story. I can't wait to read more.
Good job
Onishima
This first chapter was great,, simple and not so good drawing but the story seems really interesting, a true vision of modern Japan.
I'm a little worried...

...this book isn't going to get depressing, is it? A Shocking Revelation and a Nasty Fall in chapter 1 is a bit much. But the salaryman-becomes-slacker/mangaka story is fun so far (in a schadenfreude sort of way, of course). The amateurish art actually works quite well, in context.
Fun story

As soon as I first heard what the story was about I knew I was going to like it. I don't mind if the art is more simplistic by manga standards, it's nice to see a bit more diversity in that sense.
Definitely look forward to more.
Smart and poignant

I looking at both the title and the description it looked like it was going to be something closer to a Kevin Smith title, but after reading it you feel yourself closely connected to the main character. I'd be lying if I said that I never felt the same way he does.
Great

I enjoyed the first chapter, so I'm definitely looking forward to the rest. Crude art, but a heartfelt story about characters you can relate to.
Paperback version plz.
Slice of life & ambitions
Soul
Shizuo seems like he's having a midlife crisis.
Where's his wife?
Left him? =O
I really like that interaction between him and his daughter.
Bet him walking out of the room and seeing her was awkward though.
Not what I expected
luckygirl
Less "Clerks" and more heartfelt than I expected. Curious to see what's next!
Close to Home

It often seems human nature to put off tomorrow what we can do today. Aono shows us the time spent not doing what we intend do can be far more interesting. Shizuo Oguro is a likable character that any slacker could relate to on some level. Aono's art style may appear juvenile and sparse at first glance. On closer inspection however the panels are teeming with detail and easter eggs. The prospects are high for this story about going nowhere.
pretty cool

I like this one a lot, can't wait to read the rest, though I wish I could read it in print.
Viewer Redesign Please
misa
A reformatting of the viewer is needed - this series is the only one that I could read because the panels in the page layout were big enough. The other series (Bokurano) have panels that are too small to read on 1024x768 resolution screen (I don't need glasses BTW).
In any case, this series is alright. However, since it seems to be more episodic than overarching in story structure I don't think I'd pay for it, so this free chapter thing is really working out.
Sublime.

Now, onto the manga- I loved it. To me it took the best parts of Inio Asano, Iou Kuroda, and Taiyo Matsumoto. Being a story about day-to-day meandering and self thought, I found it appropriate and resonate that the moments within the chapter were so fleeting, because in his state of mind, I believe it would be like this for him. I recommend this to anyone who likes slice-of-life stories, and is alright with simplicity over complex fluidity.

This really hits home for so many. How many people are artists at heart but are afraid to make the commitment to the process. Can't wait for the next chapter, well the whole series for that matter. Hats off to Viz for preserving the hand drawn look of the original artist. A nice surprise to step back from the computerized look that so many adaptations have stuck with. Not cold or industrial looking, in fact, it almost looks like it was kicked up a notch.
awkward and funny
Chris
The pacing is a little slow, but overall "I'll give it my all...tomorrow" is an enjoyable title.
I know how this guy feels
Inkwell
I feel like that some days. But only on the days that end with a "y".
