Honestly, this manga not very good. I got hooked and marathoned all 85 "Curse[s]" I could find fan-subbed and this story really goes nowhere fast. By curse 85 the series seems to have way overshot a natural feeling ending and still there is no real ending to the story in sight. It feels as if the author is writing the story as she goes and doesn't know how she wants it to end.

Dorohedoro is one part steampunk, one part fantasy, and one part Pulp Fiction. A great plot with plenty of action, comedy, and romance, a cast of dozens, and a whole world that has a life of its own.

This is an awesome manga, and I'm glad it seems to be getting some attention from a US publisher.

I absolutely *love* this manga-- at first I was slightly put off by the very first gory scene, but was already interested in the plot so I decided to read the rest... i'm so glad I did. I've read all the chapters thus far, and can't wait for this page to catch up on all of them so I can read them again! <3

As someone who skipped over Dorohedoro when IKKI US first launched, I can honestly say this manga has become my favorite. The art style reminds me a bit of Battle Angel Alita and Akira: grimy characters, rundown back-drops, and unusual "creatures" inhabit both series. It feels like something pulled out of an 80's publication.

Not many manga today have such a strong old-school, steampunk feel to them. Hopefully Dorohedoro will survive in a market so inclined toward clean, CG-styled images.

Dorohedoro has quickly become one of my most favorite Ikki titles. The graphic mixture of sci-fi and horror has always appealed to me. After 4 chapters I just can't wait to see more. This last chapter was one of the best. The hero was just trying to have a normal day, but karma or planetary alignments were not happening, poor guy. Keep more chapters coming. I wish this manga was in the stores now.

the first about this manga that caught me was the art, it has a sketchish dirty feel to it and i fell in love with it instantly, its very well done and scary and i love everysingle character in Dorohedoro. The story is fantastic and so unique and has enough violence to keep everyone happy :) i'm very excited for the english release.

Pretty good first two chapters. The story manages to get going without taking a long time to set up the premise, characters and setting. The art is rough, detailed and imaginative, one of the series' strongest points. It isn't as flashy as other successful (in America) seinen manga are, infact it seems more like something that would have been released by 90s Viz back when Pulp magazine was first being published.

It'll probably sell about as well as Blame! did.

I was a fan of this series years ago and enjoyed it once I had finished blame! and some other gritty violent series. The whole setting, story and world is truely original and make this a joy to read....not to mention the awesome fight scenes and crazy lead characters. Be sure to keep up with this one...cause it gets deeper like caiman's throat. I never thought I'd see this in the US, so keep on bringing more suprises like this!

Wow, this seems really interesting. Love the background and character designs. More hooked on the art than the story at the moment but I'm sure things will clear up and become more interesting as it goes on, it's hard to make such judgments off one chapter alone. Looking forward to a paperback release, will follow this for sure!!

The first chapter shows a lot of potential in unique ideas and an interesting world without wads of condescending exposition and set-up. It's a great pace to start out a story this way, but considering some of the transitions are a bit jarring, it's hard to say whether the story is showing glimpses of a rich tapestry or may end up as a whimsical hopscotch from one fight to another.

I'd say it has plenty of potential to make it worth keeping an eye on though.

I've never heard of this title, so Chapter 1 is my only exposure. There was a lot going on, so it was difficult to tell where it was going in only a few pages. Nevertheless, my interest is piqued. Like a previous commenter noted, it does remind me a lot of Blame! (one of my favorites). I'm looking forward to seeing this one in print.

This manga is one of the best new manga I've read in a long time. It has a great blend of humor and action. It has a full cast of diverse characters. The level of detail in the artwork is amazing! The story is original and full of twists and turns. I look forward to being able to read it here online, and hope that there will be an eventual American release of this great series.

This darkly absurd fantasy isn't the sort filled with princesses and dragons, but rather rituals involving dropping eggs into pots of thick liquid while wearing pointy shoes and a gang leader who can turn people into mushrooms with his breath. The art is beautifully loose and grungy, yet careful and detailed, and the characters are quirky and upbeat, making the violent and twisted story endlessly fun. This is the one manga that I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone I know.

Dorohedoro is a fantastic, dark and mature series that deserves your attention. It begins somewhat confusingly, but that confusion is soon alleviated as the story progresses and settles into a very satisfying pace. Great characters, rich art, and a very original and intriguing setting make for a great work of art.

OK, I'll admit it, I am hugely biased towards Dorohedoro and would love to own it in a paperback form in a language I can read. I love the setting and the characters and the grunge art. It's morbid, funny, original and basically everything I like about anything. This series is on the very top of my list! Will, of course, continue reading as chapters become available.

I hadn’t heard anything about this series before reading it here and I’m glad I took the opportunity. It's definitely one-to-watch from this new batch of IKKI series.
