Top of my manga list

Calliope77

I've been a fan of Mohiro Kitoh since reading Shadow Star years back. His art is so taut and sparse, but so expressive. I love the deep underlying sense of secrecy and dread that runs through the series. I haven't had a chance to finish the entire story yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

So Good :3

Intriguing

Corrupt_Id

I absolutely love Bokurano. Each character's story is so emotional and intriguing. I can't wait to own volume 1 once it's released.

Awesome

Richard

I have been waiting and hoping for at awhile now that SOMEONE would pick this up; kudos to you guys for doing so, I'm buying this as soon as it's published. Also, could we possibly hope you could release an unedited Narutaru/Shadow Star as well, since Dark Horse isn't anymore?

Must Buy

Matthew

Just to let you know: I'm buying this as soon as it is published. Telling my retailer about it too.

Bokurano

Roo

As someone who's already read the series, believe me when I say it's great and worth every bit of your time. For those who like philosophical or deep stories, Bokurano questions the meaning of existence and how much the world and the people on it really mean to us, through the eyes of children. It's definitely a tearjerker, and something that will be treasured. Another awesome manga from Kitoh. :D

Very ominous

Pedro Camargo

Wow, this series seems to have a lot of foreshadowing and ominous secrets, gives you the feeling that things will only get darker and more disturbing despite it's somewhat lighthearted disguise. Looking forward to seeing how this will twist and turn and develop.

Good One

REM beat down

I read the first two chapters and, so far, I really like it. It has an intersting art style, and, ever since . Hack//SIGN, im a sucker for the whole being "inside" a video game thing.

Chapter One

Prede

If this manga is anything like Kitoh's previous series, "Narutaru", I know I am in for a brilliant story, with plenty of disturbing scenes, and twisted ideas. Could this be Kitoh's next masterpiece? The first chapter seems to get right to the main point, with the children innocently enough walking into a cave, and deciding to play a "game" with the man inside. The backgrounds are great, but his art really shines with the characters. Most are gangly, skinny, and realistic, with a great style.

No ordinary mech story

Stuart

The first chapter is a little slow paced but this is no ordinary mecha story. Can't wait for the next chapter!

chapter 1

caelin

I've heard about Bokurano, and I've been interested in checking it out. If it turns out anything like Mohiro Kitoh's other work - Narutaru, I know I'll be in for an emotional ride. Definitely a whole TON of characters I won't keep straight in just one chapter, but maybe as they become more fleshed out they'll come into their own. Interested in Jun, I think he knows something more. As for the art, I've always loved Mohiro Kitoh's lanky characters and stark lines.

BO KU RA NO

PetitCharat

I'm eager to see how this manga plays out! The character designs were excellent; I'm excited to see how the characters names and looks may be related to their personalities. They were all diverse and easy to distinguish from one another too; which is important with a cast of 15. I give the first chapter an A!

Very Interesting

Sesho

Wow, a mysterious and interesting first chapter. But we have to wait a MONTH for the next one?:) 15 characters needed a bit more than 34 pages to be really introduced. But I guess the fact that we don't know much about the story lends suits its cryptic nature. I think this series is going to be good though. Just wish there had been at least two chapters online. Maybe go bi-weekly?

Burgandy is right.

Brandon House

The series gets much much much better, and again, Shadow Star is an absolute masterpiece of the medium, as is this. For those that saw the anime and were left wanting more substance and less fluff need just look here. When I say dark, think Akira dark.

Looking Forward to this

ElvKun

I was a big fan of Kitoh's dark manga Shadow Star Narutaru and have heard many good things about this series as well (since it has the same dark quality to it). I am glad that I have the chance to read this and am looking forward to see how things develop. While there is an anime, it looks like it took a different direction from the manga, so want to be able to see how it turns out here. Thanks Viz, looking forward to the hard copy release (please!)

Bokurano

Burgandy

This series is amazing! It's by the man who did Shadow Star (for anyone who's read that) and it's just as dark and deep. It probes simple questions such as why and makes them incredibly deep. The interactions of the kids are amazing, and Dung Beetle is highly intriguing. Keep reading this series, because it's intense.
